A maximized cockpit and cabin makes the Alerion Express 28 the perfect yacht for you and your partner – for weekend adventures or just a spur of the moment evening or after-work sail.
By preserving the traditional look topside and giving the hull a modern design below the waterline, the Alerion Express 28 offers the best of both worlds: great style and great performance. Not to mention the pride and admiration they bring.
A very manageable sailplan with a self-tacking jib boom is easily singlehanded. And even the most die-hard racers speak of how beautifully balanced and delightful the Alerion Express 28 is to sail.
With more than 470 boats sailing worldwide, the Alerion Express 28 is by far the most popular of all the modern daysailers. Designed in 1990 by Carl Schumacher, the AE28 was the first modern daysailer on the market.
Currently, there are five active one-design fleets for the AE28 throughout the country. The fleets range in size from 6 to 25 boats; with basic “main and jib only” rules there is no shortage of excitement and great sailing.
